Itinerary
Arrive at Tbilisi International Airport. Meet your guide and travel to Tbilisi. Check into hotel.
Sightseeing tour of Tbilisi Old and New Town. The tour starts in a compact area of Tbilisi Old Town. From Metekhi Church, go to the brick dome of the Sulfur Baths, then to Narikala Fortress overlooking the Mutskvari Valley. Then visit the Synagogue, the Sioni and Antiscati churches that mark the end of the old town. Afterwards, visit the treasury of the Georgian National Museum and walk along Rustaveli Avenue, the main street of Tbilisi, to see the treasury of the Georgian Museum. Visit Trinity Cathedral, the third largest Orthodox church in the world. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast, head north towards the North Caucasus along the famous Georgian Military Road. On the way, visit Ananuri, a 17th-century complex. From Gudauri, take an exciting drive along the Terek River to Kazbegi, the capital of the region. From Kazbegi he takes a 4WD vehicle to the Gergeti Trinity Church at an altitude of 2170 m and in clear weather you can see Mount Kazbegi (5047 m), one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus. After breakfast, drive to Mtskheta, one of Georgia's oldest cities and a cultural and religious center. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is a living museum with many architectural and historical monuments. Visit the Jvari (Temple of the Holy Cross), built in the 6th century and perched on a high hill overlooking the confluence of his two majestic rivers, the Aragvi and Mutskvari. Visit the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century). Head to Kutaisi, the second largest city in Georgia. After breakfast, drive to Gordi village, the starting point for the beautiful natural scenery of the Okatse Valley. Start your trek from the historic Dadiani Forest and reach the valley step by step. At the top, there is a 780-meter cliff hanging path and an observatory. It takes a total of 2-3 hours to reach the final checkpoint.
