Itinerary

Upon arrival in Tbilisi, you will be welcomed by your driver and transferred to your hotel for check-in at 2 p.m. Begin your exploration of Georgia’s capital with a city tour starting at Metekhi Church and the monument dedicated to Vakhtang Gorgasali, the legendary founder of Tbilisi. Take a scenic cable car ride up to Narikala Fortress to admire sweeping views over the cityscape. Walk down to the Sulphur Baths district, passing by Tbilisi’s only mosque, then wander through the charming Shardeni area, known for its narrow lanes lined with cozy cafés, wine bars, and souvenir shops that reflect the city’s rich heritage. Visit Sioni Cathedral, Anchiskhati Basilica, and the iconic clock tower of the Rezo Gabriadze Puppet Theatre. Cross the modern Bridge of Peace to reach Rike Park. Conclude the day with a visit to the National Museum of Georgia, which houses an impressive collection of artifacts from the Bronze Age to the 20th century. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Georgian dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay in Tbilisi.

After breakfast, depart for Mtskheta, one of Georgia’s oldest cities and a significant spiritual and cultural center. Once the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Iberia, Mtskheta offers stunning historical landmarks. Visit Jvari Monastery, perched on a hilltop and admired for its early medieval architecture and panoramic views of the junction between the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Then explore Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a revered site believed to house the robe of Christ. Continue your journey to the Ananuri Fortress complex, featuring churches and defensive towers from the 16th and 17th centuries, overlooking the scenic Jinvali Reservoir. Next, head to Kazbegi, a quaint mountain town framed by the towering peak of Mount Kazbek, standing at 5,033 meters. Take a 4WD vehicle ride up to Gergeti Holy Trinity Church, located at an altitude of 2,170 meters, offering breathtaking alpine views. Overnight in Kazbegi.

In the morning, leave Kazbegi and travel to Gori, the birthplace of Joseph Stalin. Visit the Stalin Museum, which includes his childhood home and his personal armored train car. Afterwards, explore Uplistsikhe, an ancient rock-hewn town dating back to the Hellenistic era, notable for its unique blend of pagan and Christian architectural styles carved into the cliffs. Return to Tbilisi for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel by noon. You’ll have some free time before being transferred to Tbilisi International Airport for your departure. This concludes your memorable tour of Georgia.
